The launch cost varies depending on the size and mass of the satellite, launch vehicle, and the orbit requirements.
Our services include launch acquisitions and coordination, full campaign management, technical interface control, logistics coordination and support, launch deployer and interface hardware, and launch vehicle integration.
The first step is to fill in the form with some elementary information about your satellite. Depending on the selected service we will look for an opportunity that suits your requirements and will send you a quote.
We strongly believe in being launch vehicle agnostic. Our team has experience in launching customer payloads from all main launch sites all over the world. We are also continuously expanding our portfolio of launch vehicles and are actively working together with small launch vehicle developers to increase access to space for our customers. We can help you get onto any vehicle that you want.
The most common and frequent orbits we can bring you to are Sun Synchronous Orbits (SSO) with an altitude between 450 and 700 km. We are not limited to these orbits, so if you need something other than that, we are happy to discuss the possibilities with you.
Usually, for the CubeSat missions, the only affordable ticket to space is the rideshare option, which means that your payload will be integrated onboard together with other spacecraft including a main payload. In case of rideshare opportunities usually only the owner of the main payload can determine the launch date and the primary orbital parameters. Obviously, in case of a dedicated launch you will be able to control these parameters yourself.
This depends on the readiness status of your payload and orbital parameters you want for your mission. Usually, we would say that a year in advance will be sufficient, however for some “ready to go“ payloads we might have immediate launch solutions and for some “non-standard” orbits it might take more than a year to find a launch vehicle.
The full list of the documents required will be provided in the quote depending on your mission parameters. Standard documents are export licenses, certificates of spacecraft origin and end user, RF registration licensing.
The launch environment experienced by your satellite will be specific to the launch vehicle, and also to the launch in question. We do not want you to over- or under test your satellite, so we provide the most suitable information – rather than generic test levels – so that your mission is assured to be successful.
As launching satellites is a risky activity, irrespective of the satellite type or launch vehicle, insurances are inherently connected to launch. There are various types of insurances to cover the different types of risk involved.
The launch industry despite strict scheduling and deadlines can be quite unpredictable. So, some launch delays are always possible (e.g. you have a rideshare launch and the main payload of the mission is still not ready – the launch will be delayed). In case of the short delays of the launch your payload will still be launched as per the contract, but if the launch vehicle has serious delays, a re-evaluation of the launch opportunity can be performed and it is possible to place your satellite on another rocket.
The orbit is the ultimate product of the launch service we provide to you. We know that the orbital parameters – and spacing between satellites – can be important for your specific mission. Not all launch opportunities offer the possibility to control these parameters, so please contact us if you need a tailored solution.
